Augmented Reality for architectural Reconstruction inside Radisson Blue Dublin Ireland

Date: May 2024
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Client: Radisson Blu

Services Provided:

  • Augmented Reality content

Objectives
Our project with Radisson Blu in Dublin aimed to celebrate the city’s rich heritage by recreating some of its historic buildings through Augmented Reality (AR) technology. The objectives were twofold: firstly, to provide visitors with an immersive experience that brings Dublin’s past to life; and secondly, to enhance the hotel’s appeal by offering a unique and engaging attraction for guests.

Execution
To achieve our goals, VirtualOn meticulously recreated iconic buildings from Dublin’s history using AR technology. These digital replicas were then integrated into the hotel’s surroundings, allowing visitors to explore and interact with them through their smartphones. We strategically placed QR codes throughout the hotel, enabling guests to easily access the AR experience by scanning them with their mobile devices.

Results
The implementation of our AR project at Radisson Blu in Dublin yielded impressive results. Visitors were delighted to discover the city’s heritage in a whole new way, with many expressing appreciation for the opportunity to engage with Dublin’s past in such an innovative manner. The project succeeded in enhancing the hotel’s reputation as a destination that offers not only comfort and luxury but also a deep connection to the local culture and history.

Feedback
The AR experience was creative and added educational value to people staying at the Radisson Blu. Overall, the project provided an unforgettable experience blending technology with heritage.
